    Small plant, epiphytic with many flattened roots playing an important part for photosynthesis.
    Short stem.
    Leaves very few (1 to 2), obliquely lanceolate, acute, dark green, 10 cm length for 2 cm broad, often smaller of half.
    Flower stalk 10 cm long or more, pendent.
    Bracts lanceolate of 0,3 cm.
    Flowers 6 to 8, 2 cm in diameter. Sepals and petals clear pink, column and lip darker.

Oblong, obtuse dorsal sepal. Lateral sepals obliquely elliptic-ovate, obtuse, of the same length than the dorsal sepal but slightly broader. Elliptic-obovate petals, obtuse, of the same dimension than the dorsal sepal.
Lip 3-lobed of 8 mm with a spur. Lateral lobe erect, oblong, obtuse, as long as the midlobe. Midlobe oblong-elliptic, obtuse, convex, with two callus. The posterior one fleshy, bidentate, whereas the former callus is ligulate, deeply bifide. Column 4 mm long, largely widened at the level of the stigma. Pedicellate ovary of 1,6 cm.

Observations
   Plant discovered between 1000 and 2500 meters of altitude. Natural flowering in april/mai.
    It's an abundant plant in nature. Only Phalaenopsis braceana has a similar spur in the genus Phalaenopsis, but its green or bronze color makes it possible to distinguish it easily.
