      Epiphytic plant, root fleshy, glabrous, from 3 to 4 mm in diameter.
      Leaves coriace, oblong-lanceolate, acute, sometimes bilobate, with conduplicate base, long 30 cm, 3 to 4 cm wide.
   Flower stalk erect or slightly arched, longer than the foliage. Rachis flattened, sometimes branching, in zigzag. Bract oval-cucullate of 5 mm.
   Dorsal sepal elliptic, obtuse, with recurvate margin, dorsaly mucronate. Lateral sepals lanceolate-subspatulate, acute, careened dorsaly near the apex, asymmetrical, 1.5 broader than the dorsal sepal and such a long. Petals almost with right angle with the dorsal sepal, obovales-lanceolate, shorter than the sepals and narrower than the dorsal sepal. Lip 3- lobed . Lateral lobes subquadrangulares, erect and parallels between them, with truncated apex. Midlobe widening abruptly in anchor shape. The lower face is slightly mucronate. Midlobe without callus. At the intersection of the lateral lobes and median one, there is a gibbosity decorated with two bifid appendices . One turned forwards, oblong-linear, widened, flattened laterally, acute. The other more fleshy, turned backwards.

Observations
 
Confused in culture with Phalaenopsis pantherina. It differs from it by six points:
- colouring of flower closer to that of Phalaenopsis cornu-cervi.
- midlobe of lip without callus.
- the set up appendix is truncated at Phalaenopsis pantherina, acute at Phalaenopsis borneensis.
- the disc is not decorated side teeth.
- Absence of the isthmus which is very marked for Phalaenopsis pantherina
- lateral lobes and yellow disc.
